So, I had a big Berklee jam session today. My friend brought his brand new PRS, and I brought my JP.

The bassist we were jamming with is INTENSE. He's so good.. as was the drummer and my friend on the second guitar. We jammed on some Zappa, Van Halen, and a bunch of improvised tunes..

But, then I started playing the beginning of For the Love of God and the band followed into it. I knew going in that this would be THE test for the trem. I beat the absolute **** out of that whammy bar, and it remained in tune. We followed with Erotic Nightmares and The Attitude Song and my guitar remained in tune while my buddy with the PRS had to retune a few times... heh heh.. :D

Needless to say, I am very pleased with this bridge. It basically IS a floyd without the hassles. I put its range to the test, and man... this baby can do everything a floyd can do. Believe me.. I was a floyd rose guy for 6 years, and this bridge is the next step in trem evolution.

Oh, and by the way.. I did my first neck adjustment on an electric guitar last night on guess what guitar.. the JP. It was so easy and did wonders for the recent buzzing my guitar acquired. Crazy weather up here. This is the perfect instrument.

Cool. I haven't done too crazy things with the trem yet.

I do like that "shield", or whatever it is called, that is placed over the saddles.

It actually works extremely well! I have both of mine blocked in the back as I don't do the whole floating bridge thing.....basically, my 3rd string will go slightly sharp after a bend so I just bend it quickly while playing. I'm going to try some of that Big Bends nut sauce and see if that helps.

Not a big deal really when you consider how well the guitar stays in tune.

Music Man has the best tremolo systems ever made! JP is or me the best example how great EBMM brand is! I haven't had any problems with my JP's tremolo, I use it, sometimes a lot and my guitar stays in perfect tune for over 3 weeks - I check it several times everyday - old habits die hard. I honestly can't imagine me playing other guitar then Ball one...they are perfect!

in Hell... with cows...
i'm pretty surprised with the difference stretching the strings while setting them makes on a non locking tuners guitar. and i think that if you got locking tuners, you might also not stretch as good on the first day... but yeah, balls rule... can't wait till my 2nd and 2rd arrive...

the JP trem is so awesome, and it doesn't kill your sound either.

Another JP trem lover here (along with the body route which allows for full floating and upward bends). Wish it was available on other models. How cool would an Axis be with the a floating JP trem instead of the flush Gotoh Floyd?? :)

The thing I like about the JP trem is the nice big hunk of brass for sustain. This is so much better in quality in comparison to some of those diecast models that other companies use.

The vintage trem and JP trem are actually the same thing, just with a different appearance. So, if you if you grab an ASS and float it you are good to go ;)

Vintage trem? is that what is on the Albert Lee?

My next EB/MM will be with a Trem.

Thanks for the data.

I prefer the look of the trem arm on the Pet. I've always disliked the plastic tip on vintage trem arms.

I actually removed the one on my SUB. To me it just seemed a little out of place. Looks killer without the tip!
