Hello guys, i have a question for you. Yesterday i re-tightened the little screw that keeps the bar in position on my JP12, but definetly too much, and the bar wouldn't came off. I tried and tried, but at the end i took my little hex screw to "set the bar free" (hahaha) but i noticed that the bar cavity (or hole) has something wrong...now the bar is kinda loose in the cavity, it moves in the cavity and seems that doesn't "fit" with the hole, and even if i tighten the little screw to keep it in position, now the screw doesn't allow me to do it. I searched for this problem in the forum, and i think i found something similar: there was an image of a JP tremolo with the holes named with A, B and C, but i didn't understand what should i do...can someone help me please? Thank you guys, and to all the staff at MM i want to say: The Majesty blue with the black insert, is AMAZING!

Screw A adjustment. Once the arm is snapped in place, this screw adjustment will determine whether the trem arm swings freely or stays in the position where you leave it.

The JP 6 arm is a push fit and has a slot /groove/rebate a few millimeters up from the base end of the trem bar. The purpose of this slot is to allow the spring clip (for want of a better word) at the location labelled C to engage in the slot and keep the arm captive in the trem block. Now I'm not Customer Service but I've had one of these trem blocks to pieces, and if my memory serves me right I bleeb that the item marked B holds the spring clip in place and if this is overtightened, it will make the arm very difficult to snap into place as it will mean that the spring clip will not locate too easily into the slot on the trem bar.

Screw A out infact don't worry if you screw it right out.

Slacken B until the spring clip is loose then just nip it back up again not too tight.
Make sure that the arm can snap in and out (i posted a video on the removal of the trem arm somewhere on this forum)

Once you are happy that the arm locates snugly, adjust screw A to determine how freely you then want the arm to swing.

If this doesn't do it then I'm sure CS will be able to help (after thanksgiving celebrations).

Let us know how you get on?
