I contacted Dimarzio and they said that there is no sound difference and the only difference is the polepieces .. what does that mean ?

It means buy an Air Norton and just throw it in there :D

The pole pieces on the JP are hex heads, and on the shelf Air Norton one bobbin has flathead screw polepieces, while the other bobbin has polepieces that are machined flat.

I contacted Guitar Center about buying the pickup but they don't switch so I need to do it ... does anyone have a schematic of the wiring ? thanks ...

I find the D-sonic too muddy and would like to switch it out. I know JP didn't care for it but I ould love to hear EMGs in here.like BP's JP proto. I might just try the Steves Special....not sure yet.

Match the wires to the PC board. R=red etc
