Been playing my JP15-7 for a while now and I really like it a lot. One issue I have is the visibility of the fret markers on the roasted maple neck on a darker stage/glaring lights. The small black markers on the side are too dark while the shield inlays are also hard to see at times and I did have some mishaps because of misjudging where the 12th fret was.

Has anyone ever had their fret markers changed? I'm thinking white ones on the side might be better or maybe even some of these glow-in-the-dark versions that Stew Mac and others sell. I wouldn't trust myself to install these though it seems pretty simple. Or maybe try some stick on versions to go over the shield inlays (which are frankly kind of ugly anyway)?

Some people like the stick on ones and don't feel it interferes with playing. So, yeah I think that's an easy and inexpensive fix. If you really want to modify the guitar by changing teh existing markers, a good luthier will be able to do it for you.
