Im looking for some advise on replacing a broken nut on my JP15. I had planned to just replace it with the same plastic nut that comes stock, but Ive never been in this position before so any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!nut low res.jpg

You can try super glue repair, if you're careful to use the smallest possible mount. Best bet is contact customer service (call them on Monday) and buy a new nut from them, because it's not a standard nut that you see on other guitars. Then go to a tech or luthier for install (standard nut install, nothing special as far as they are concerned).

Note: the old nut must pull out vertically.

IMHO, unless you have removed, installed, and set up a nut before, I would take it to a guitar tech / luthier.
I would second this. Especially for a JP nut.

At least, on my JPXI... I took it to a luthier to replace the nut and he absolutely butchered it (the replacement nut was from Music Man). Maybe he wasn't the best luthier, I don't know. But I ended up sending the guitar to EBMM for a factory nut replacement and general tune up.
