JP16 Trimpots

Why does my JP16 have bass/mid/treble trimpots? I can't find any information online about what they actually do.

I've read that these are for the piezo pickup, which the jp16 does not have. Still confused.

My guess is that it's the same PCB whether or not you have the piezo option. Have you tried adjusting the trimpots? They won't do anything if you don't have the piezo.

+1 to what Beej said - I think they used the circuit board from the JP15 for the 16, there is no piezo, so those trim pots do nothing so you can just ignore them.

We are talking about John Petrucci's guitar, thus I presume that the 3 trimpots control :

• how many humans die every minute
• the speed of the Earth rotation
• the heat of the Sun

But it works only if you play as good as JP !
