Kust got a JP50 today-the matt black "Stealth". I have got thru about five guitars in the last two years now I'm gigging regularly. I had $1000 BC Rich V and a Schecter Hellraiser, both with amazing hard ware, but ultimately they just didn't hang right! Went back to and Ibanez RGA42 which I love, but being an obsessed Dream Theater fan I wanted a MM. No way could i afford the $3000 price tag, so when the Stealth came out I had to check it out! And as all the reviews will tell you, this is an amazing guitar! I tried the top of the range one just for the thrill, but i actually liked the stealth better! Obviously the quality is lesser, but the neck radius feels a little bigger than the real Petrucci. The contoured body is unbelievably comfortable and drastically improves your picking position. The only things i will change (when I have the $) are the pups and the nut. Saying that, the pups are pretty good! Afeter playing thru and set necks in a thrash metal band, I love the "snappier" sound of a good bolt on, and the RGA and JP50 are precisely that! After all, unless you are a genuine virtuoso (and no matter how good u r, few of us r!) a JP50 more than fits the bill! I am thrilled with this guitar!

I also purchased the JP50 4 days ago .. and yes i am thrilled .. one of the greatest guitars i have bought in awhile .. congrats man .. and welcome to the family

JP50 maiden voyage
I'll send pics. Played it tonight with the band I just joined. I can't believe there is a better ergonomically guitar design than the Petrucci shape. It moulds to yoyr body! My friend is giving me the Petrucci crunch pick-up, so I'm psyched about that! Then I'll eventually get the liquifire and I'll be all set. But for stock pups they sounded great tonight!
