Question JP6 BFR Tobacco Burst model question

Hello,

I am wondering when did the pickups were changed from Dsonic combo to liquifire combo.

I found a JP6 BFR Tobacco Burst finish, but the guys at the music store don't know anything about it. (took me a long time to even get them understand what JP6 BFR is. sigh.)

So, I guess I have to post another thread here to ask experts...

I know it is a discontinued finish, but I don't really know when the production was stopped.

They said it has the flame finish, although I was interested in the quilt. Gotta go and check out how good is the flame finish...

i have the very guitar you are talking about, JP6 BFR tobacco sunburst…it is the Dsonic/Air norton combo..i actually posted my info in the serial number thread where they can tell you what you have. I believe they switched over to the Crunch lab/liquifire pups in June 2009; if yours has a build date before that, it will be the DSonic/Air nortons. if you want to be absolutely sure, you need post in the serial number thread…hope that helps

Anyone know when did the tobacco finish was discontinued? lol...
