The Crunch Lab pickup seems "dead" to me when it comes to highs and lacking bass on the lows. When using a wah pedal, the sweep seems much more limited as well. Tapping seems much more difficult on the high strings because the notes seem dull compared to the Wolfgang. My EQ pedal helps some but it makes it very difficult to play both guitars because the settings are very different for each.
I must say that I'm having similar issues with my JP6, the pups on it are just not cutting it when I use it with my other gigging guitars, which right now include a Strat and a Les Paul. Compared to these 2 guitars, the JP6 is very underpowered, although if I boost and EQ my rig a certain way, it could cut it by its own.
I'm still seraching, but I'm almost 100% sure the JP6 pups will have to be replace with something better.
