i've been comparing the output of my JP6 2007 w/ the D-Sonic and Custom pups against my other guitars. The JP6 is always significantly lower in output and volume. Even my JP50 w/ Crunch Lab & Liquid Fire are louder. Is this an intentional design or what? Perhaps JP wanted low output from the guitar so he can run higher gain from his rig?

Agreed. The output on mine is not low at all. At the same time, it's not overly hot which I love! For me it's right n the sweet spot.

I definitely don't think the D-Sonic and custom lack output at all. I find them to be just a tad less hot than the CL/LF.

that's strange. I compared my JP6 volume to all my other guitars and almost all were louder than the JP6 (except for a Gibson ES-175, which is a total different animal).
Could this be a wiring issues or volume pot issue?
