Its also not a requirement for playing even super technical music. I would rather have someone with superior feel and quick learning skills than a guy that can tell me every musical fact about a riff I just played but cant get the picking down for a week.

I couldn't agree more! I mean i WISH I was more musically literate and I did take classical guitar in college to learn how to read music which i could do sort of half-assed but i couldn't now if my life depended on it. For my recital, I just memorized the piece and acted like I was sight reading - LOL I don't know it just never clicked with me, or maybe I'm just too lazy?! i dunno... but yeah luckily its NOT a pre-requisite!

Okay I was a bit confused as I listened to 46 seconds of an intro.lol Before I went back and looked further down the post and found the longer piece with the melody line, I was checking out what you had up and I must say there is some really outstanding playing. I loved the Acoustic song Rise Again, a really beautiful piece of music and got a great kick out of the Enter Peter Gun, as you took me by surprise as I thought you were going to segue the theme in from Sandman on the bass notes but you did it with tap harmonics which I thought was brilliant. I have to ask did you hear Kirk Hammet do that live or did you come up with it. Will definitely be checking out more of your playing.

LOL! Yeah I was afraid some folks might miss the post with the newer link - glad you got that all worked out and thanks so much! i am having a blast with the Eleven Rack I have to say and of course my Dargie!

Thanks for the kudos on Rise Again - I recorded that after the flood here in Nashville - sort of a hopeful tone to it and I am getting together a bunch of photos of the devastation as well as the rebuilding and volunteerism that's going on everywhere and going to make a YouTube video with that as the backing track. I think it's going to end up being pretty neat - we'll see!

It's funny you asked about the Peter Gun thing 'cause YEARS ago when I played the college circuit we did Enter Sandman into the Peter Gunn theme and everyone always got a kick out of that. I believe we worked in the Munsters theme in there too - LOL... Good times :)

Thanks so much for the kind words and yeah definitely check out the soundclick page often as I post random stuff here and there mostly to do with the Eleven Rack when I make a new preset I like to do a sample mp3 so people can hear what it sounds like on MY guitar because I'm sure some people load my presets and they sound like crap on their guitars for whatever reason - pickups or whatever. So anyway then i just post random sloppy one take licks just to showcase the tone and basically embarrass myself! LOL :)

Take care brother!
