Going to see one JP6 (2013.) tomorow. Is that a way to know year of production without posting a serial number? I just need a Year, not date. Thanks!

Not really. Serial number is really the only way to know and they are kind of random so you can't always guess the year from the serial number, you'll have to ask post the serial number or ask customer service. That said, you can rule out some years depending on the features. The compensated nut didn't arrive in full production until 2006 and a small design change was more recently made to the trem (treble side trem post moved to not interfere with the high-E saddle) though I can't remember what year that was. 2012?

Any JP experts care to chime in here?
