Guys

I've got a question on the JP6 Piezo guitar. If you plug it into a modelling amp and have it on a high gain setting, should flicking over to the Piezo stop that signal and turn it acoustic? Or am I right in thinking that the signal chain will still have the distorted sound with the Piezo??

Thankyou

Why would changing the pickup selection on the guitar affect what you have set on your modeller? It takes whatever is coming out of the guitar and does the same thing to it, so you would have a very distorted piezo sound.

You would need to change the setting on the modeller, or get a secondary amp.

If you are using the mono out so that the magnetic and piezo signals are blended and sent to the same modeling amp then when you flick to Piezo you will still have distortion or whatever effect is selected on your modeler.

If you use 2 cables (or if you use a stereo cable with a splitter box or Y-cable), then you can separate the signals to magnetic and piezo so when you switch between them the piezo would come out of an acoustic amp or PA, and the magnetic signal would come out of your modeling amp.

Hey guys,

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm going to get a separate acoustic amp and just use 2 cables. I suppose I just didn't read into them correctly.

I love my JP6, still dont regret selling all my other guitars (bar one) to buy it

Thanks.
