Hey all,

Somewhat new here, but just starting the love of EBMMs. I currently own a SS HH with piezo in silver sparkle, which has almost instantly become my number one. I really dig the two output with the piezo and looking at another/backup.

My question is, what kind of music to you folks play on a JP6? I am no shredder, and mostly play rhythm and sing, with a few lead parts thrown in, mainly alternative 90s type stuff. I am by no means a "shredder" and not really into playing real heavier stuff.

Is the JP 6 with piezo a decent option for non shredding stuff?

I don't own a JP6 but a JP13 & 15, and I can tell you they are very versatile guitars sonic wise, you can go from blues to pop rock to grunge and alternative and they deliver beyond expectation!

Yeah - you can play anything on a JP. I think the trem on the JP is the best trem ever. I really miss mine.

Ok.... So I am a rock/shred type player..... Who is a Christian Rock artist.... (loooooong story)

I will use all of the pickup selections and the piezo every week live, and use it in the studio every session (think u2 and more ambient sounds).

If this was not John Petrucci's signature guitar, it would simply be marketed as "the most versatile guitar on the planet." My JP15 is the most comfortable guitar I've ever played, too, but comfort is more personal preference.
