hi,
maybe i have a problem:
in my jp6 the low E string is touching the wood between the nut and the tuner.
there's a little scratch on the wood under the 6th string. i have had the guitar for 2 years and apparently this issue was not a problem...shoud i be worried about that??
thanks

Why don't you try contacting customer service and see what they'll tell you?

In my experience, EB will do everything possible to make things right. I have no idea how things are handled overseas, but I'd imagine that the first step is to show to and discuss it with the dealer you bought it from, then go from there. No offense but complaining about here isn't the best way to solve the problem.

Ciao,

Hi All

First time poster but have been lurking for a while. I recently purchased a stunning black Axis Super Sports (Man what a guitar!!). First thing I did when I got it home was change the strings and sure enough, bottom E was touching behind the nut, just as you describe. I contacted customer support and was told this is actually normal??? and if it wasn't affecting playability or tuning, not to worry about it. I still do worry about it altho it doesn't seem to affect tuning or playing. I'd be really interested to hear what the outcome is for you guys.

PS: I've just got to say how much I love this guitar. I think it's probably the best instrument I've ever played. Will post some pics when I get hold of a decent camera. My mobile phone camera doesn't do justice.

Take care :)

People outside the USA should go through their dealer, who will then go via the distributor in the country.
e.g. if I had a warranty issue here in the UK I would go through my dealer who would go via Strings & Things.

G'day Sim,

Did you pick that up from Pro Audio?

I have a Strat that's been doing the exact same thing since.....1988.

Still plays great (for a Strat) and no probs.

My advice is stop worrying, play your guitars, back off the coffee if you have to.

I've seen the high e string 'rub' the wood before the nut before on many other bolt-on F3nd3r style necks before, and have heard no ill effects.

I would think, if it isn't affecting playability, tuning stability, and sound - I would say you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks for everyones replies to this post. I feel much better knowing this. I gotta stress that it's not affecting anything, more concerned it could've developed into something nasty

I saw that quite a few times at Pro Audio, that axis has an awesome neck, I had a jam on it a couple of months ago. Better Music has a nice Rosewood Axis too.

Nice score!

Yeh the neck is one of the things that got me. I didn't expect Better music would have one and didn't think to look. Use to go there alot but Pro Audio treat me really well. Might have something to do with all the money I spend with them :D

Noticed you've got a Brian May. I'd kill for one of them....one day
