I just acquired a completely stock 2019 JP6. I noticed all 6 tuning keys have sharp edges. Is this normal?

Pictures would help to understand what you're talking about, exactly.

The bottom edges are sharp on all 6 tuning pegs. Not cutting the skin sharp, but more than unpleasant.
The black pegs/buttons on my MIM Charvel are much smoother, more rounded on the bottom.
Given this guitar was almost $3k new, so seems odd to me they would come this way.
Asking if they're all like that? or if these were a bad batch? Or something else?

That is just how Schaller M6 buttons are, and have been for decades. Can't say I've ever noticed anything about the bottoms of tuning buttons. I normally don't touch that part of the button.

Just checked my '97 Axis w/ original Schaller locking tuners and while that edge is very squared off it's no what I would consider sharp. More hard edged.

Thanks for checking. The edges on mine are definitely sharp, not what I would call hard edged. I may just buy replacements and be done with it.
