Has anyone ever replaced a Floyd with the trem of a JP6?

Reason I ask is I recently bought a JP6 and it is the most 'user-friendly' tremolo I have ever owned or played, I love it. I have 2 other guitars that have Floyds on them and wondered how difficult this would be, beside replacing the nut, that is.

Thoughts?

Where exacly do You want to get a spare JP6 trem? :D

They are not sold separately, so the only way You can get one is rip it out of Your JP6 (which, to me, would be a rather unwise move:))

What he said. The reason no one has done it is because you'd have to discard a JP6 to do it :( :( :(

EBMM could probably make a mint selling replacement parts like bridges - but in reality we'll probably have to wait until theres a reliablemusicman on ebay

One of the main reasons I stick to JP models. I don't wanna deal with Floyds or anything of that nature.

The only question I have to ask about the other guitars.
Do they have Floyds or "Floyds"??

Many people who write off Floyd Rose trems really haven't tried a proper one.
If you want a Floyd Rose its really an OFR or nothing.

Although I love the Gotoh trems also, they are built very well. Although an OFR still feels more substantial.

one of the perks of designing an awesome trem is to be able to control how people use them.. namely that they must have them on a JP :)

true enough though if musicman started selling individual trems they would make an absolute killing. everyone would buy them
