Hi guys,

I'm rookie here and I have a question about JP6 volume pot. I bought JP6 /no piezo, 1 volume, 1 tone knob/ and volume pot crackle. Is possible to switch it with tone pot whitch I don't use ? Are the same ?
Thanx.

All you need is a contact cleaner you can buy at a local electronics store. Spray it around the shaft of the pot and turn it many times...that should really solve the problem. By the way, welcome on board and enjoy the JP.

Deoxit D5 contact cleaner, by Caig. Get a can. A small shot will remove any scratchiness on pots, lever switches, etc. Essential on any tech's bench.

You can switch them, but remember that the vol pot is logarithmic (audio), and the tone pot is linear - when using linear pot on volume if You set it to 50% You'll get 50% of signal, but it won't be 50% of maximum volume.
