Help! JP6 with olive body and mystic dream headstock: is this a thing?

So I came across this JP6 which has an olive body and a mystic dream headstock, and the owner says it's "all original"... what happened here?

well serial number shows it is a MD so body swap

To add another voice to Keith's, no regular production guitar would leave the factory with a painted headstock a different color to the body, unless the headstock was black (e.g. on a small number of limited edition instruments, the 2004 LEs come to mind).

Why someone would swap parts and not keep the neck plate with the body I don't understand (though my brain now points out that it is called a 'neck plate', so take my opinion with a pinch of salt).
