Well,
most know (as posted earlier) am selling two guitars to fund a new one, a JP6.
After an afternoon search today I found one at a GC in Houston.
Anyway, LUST at first sight,sound,touch!
Now, not gonna get that one, prefer to deal with Mr.Pete here.
Question is, can someone who owns one give me a run down on the capabilities/controls (as looking at a piezo equiped one).
Obviously a vol. and tone and 3 way. But what about other control/switch (just piezo?). And on back it had bass/treb./?, also 3 slotted screws?
A "laymans" rundown would be much appreciated

The pots on the back control the EQ for the piezo system, if I'm not mistaken.

The toggle on the upper horn is a 3-way:

* magnetic pickups only (pointing down)
* both magnetic and piezo output (middle pos)
* piezo output only (pointing up)

The other toggle is also a 3-way:

* neck pickup only (toward neck)
* inner coil of each humbucker (middle pos)
* bridge pickup only (toward bridge)

There are two output jacks:

*piezo/mono - plug a mono (TR) cable in here, and nothing in the other jack and you can get magnetic and piezo signals on the same mono cable, and the mix and EQ of the piezo signal can be controlled with the pot screws on the back. If you plug a mono cable in this jack and another mono cable into the other jack, this cable will carry the piezo signal only, and the other cable will carry the magnetic signal only.

*magnetic/stereo - a mono (TR) cable here works as described earlier... you plug another mono cable into the other jack at the same time and each carries a different type of signal. If you use a stereo (TRS) cable in this jack and nothing in the other jack, both the piezo and magnetic signals will be carried on the TRS cable: magnetic on the tip, piezo on the ring. You can then plug the other end of the TRS cable into a 'splitter' box to route each signal to different amps etc.

just never tried/played with a piezo guitar so was basically looking for a "laymans" explanation of use and controls is all
Was going for a plain JP6 (not that a JP6 could EVER be plain though ), but now am set on loaded one

You're welcome! A fully-loaded JP is something you won't regret. I have one, and it's fantastic. That middle pickup position which utilizes the two inner coils of the humbuckers makes and amazing clean sound.

yeah, I managed to find/play one briefly yesterday at a GC in Houston. NOT best place to try a guitar and def. not buying from there, but am HOOKED.
It fit me like a glove. The neck is indeed (to my feel) the cross between my Jackson/Axis which is what I am looking for.
Looks like my Axis will be sold today too So can order a JP6
Will be my first Brand new Guitar
