I previously posted that my newer CBP JP7 had a slight problem with the bridge pickup being to high and causing problems with my low B string hitting the pickup poles.
I had tried to screw it down farther, but it felt as if the screw was bottomed out and I didn't want to risk stripping out the hole, so I left it as it was for the time being.
Well, we had a gig tonight, so last night I was changing strings on both my JP7's. I decided to take a closer look and pulled the pickup out. Low and behold! There was a small piece of plastic (kind of looked like the same material as the base plate but a bit thicker) underneath the 'tab' on the pickup that has the actual screw hole. I'd guess that the material was maybe a few mm's thick, maybe 3-4mm.
Well, it's perfect now! That was my whole problem. A freakin' little piece of plastic!
I should've taken the pickup out weeks ago.
