Do you mean Y cables?

A TRS cable (stereo) is recommended though, use the stereo output of your JP. But you'll need a splitter box to split the piezo/mag signals.

that's the way I do it.
Stereo lead into a splitter - I think it would look strange with two leads coming out of the guitar!

JP used to do it like that. Not sure if he still does.

I also will be splitting a stereo signal.

+1 For the planet waves Cables. I used them exclusevely they are great.

They did not use to have a RA TRS cable but after much persuasion from some of their dealers, especially one that kept telling them that he knew JP used them (even though they kept saying that they did not know anything about that) they finally made some. Thank goodness.:D

Thanks guys... much appreciated!!!

I actually just realised I can use the mono jack for both Magnetic and Piezo sounds. *duh*... I can live without the stereo output. Whahahaha...

But you'll notice a volume drop between the piezo and mag pickups...
That's why most JP users will eventually opt for the stereo outputs...

Ahh... I see... But I can use the Piezo volume pot to compensate for that, can't I? then what's the mixing screws behind for? merely Piezo EQ, is that right? I've only just got this guitar last week, and it's one of the most complex guitars I've owned...

^^ I turned the piezo mix screw all the way up and it's louder unless I turn the volume down. Works great for me! But I'm switching to stereo> splitter box as soon as I can. The advantage is that you can send the signals to different places (ie the piezo signal to an acoustic amp or PA).

A JP that connects to the internet is in the works! Stay tuned :D

This is basically everything I dreamt of in a guitar, it's just so perfect!
ooo? Sorry. I didn't realise there was a distinction. I used to own one of those JPMs. I was surprised to see JP changed his neck profile on the EBMM...

JP mentioned about this in the JP proto video that can be found on EBMM's official site, it's different but he likes it.

So for the Petrucci Model, you should have 2 cables running from it, from the magnetics and the piezo?
