On the DiMazrio website, they say:

Do you sell the "John Petrucci" pickups that are on the MusicMan guitar?

These pickups are only available as original equipment on John's MusicMan guitar. The 6-string neck model is very similar to the Air Norton™. The sound of the bridge pickup resembles the Steve's Special™, although it is not as close. The 7-string Air Norton™ is fairly close to the MusicMan neck pickup, and the Blaze™ bridge model is the closest-sounding available bridge pickup.

I assume these were referring to the 1st generation of JPMs to come from EBMM?

But what about this new set? Is it still a EBMM spec wound pickup? Or is it really just the Air Norton and DSonic? The Musicman Guitars site lists it as "2 Custom DiMarzio Humbucking - specially designed for Petrucci".

So which is it?

It's a custom wound pickup that's based on the Air Norton...

Yeah, I believe on Petrucci's earlier guitars, he did have an air norton in the neck, and steves special in the bridge.

So the pickups on his EBMM were specifically designed for him. So it could have some of the same elements as the Air Norton and Steve's Special
