I would have replied sooner but it’s crunch time in university and time is precious.
Alright, first off I'm man enough to admit I flew off the handle which is easier to do on an internet forum than in real life when I could have been MUCH more productive. Sorry for that.
Just to clarify a couple things, I already contacted customer support before all of this. I'm not angry over paying shipping. I'm not a complete idiot. I knew that had to be paid before any of this.
As for Boycotting, I mean think about it, if someone has a problem with a certain manufacturer, usually that factors into your purchase decision. It isn’t like I have the time to go around badmouthing you guys at every street corner but if the subject comes up I think it isn’t unreasonable to tell people what happened.
Yes I understand it is out of warranty. My point is that my music profs and a local music luthier told me that the problem was something that I could not have done even if I had tried. It was there from day one and I was too naïve to know better. You can doubt the luthier if you want, I gave customer support all his contact information.
