I know this is a bit late, considering that I ordered my JPMM last week and didn't even think about it until today, does anyone know if it's possible to get the JPM without the painted signature on the headstock? Does JP even have his own signature on the headstock of his own guitars?

I think that this question might be better answered by jongitarz or one of the other EB workers.

Thanks!

You can't order your JP without the signature, and yes Johns guitars have the signature also.

 That's like ordering a Ferrari without the horse, A Lambo without the Bull, Levis without the red tag, tequilla without the worm..... Why? why?

Alright, that's cool. Thanks for the definate response, Jon. It's not one of those ultimately important factors with getting the guitar, it was just something that I had wondered. The only reason why I wouldn't want the signature on the headstock is because I'm a working a musician and I wouldn't want anyone noticing that it's a JPMM if they don't know any better just so that nobody tries to steal it from me during a gig. One thing's for sure: I'm getting insurance on that puppy when it comes in.

Levis without the red tag

It's good to know I'm not the only one who see's it that way. When I was a kid, If I got Levi's with the orange tag, back to the store they went. They just never had the same fade. :D

LOL! Did our parents shop together? :p
My parents always struggled while I was growing up. Bought the cheaper this and that, second hand, you name it (mind you they have 7 kids! )
But they'd be buying everything more than twice as often because the cheap stuff never lasted!
I have a motto that my wife has adopted over the last 15 years. "We buy it once - to last!"
The same goes with the guitar. I spent a way over a year just researching guitars, until I came across EBMM. I've now been part of the forum for about 18 months. I still don't have the guitar because I'm waiting on the money (major business re-investment happening). My wife knows I'm depressed and just dying to play guitar again and suggest "just buy a cheaper one until you can afford it".
My answer. No, I'll wait thank you. I know it will be worth it when it happens. :) :) :)

Long story - short. That "label" means a LOT!!!

The funny thing is. I would never buy a signature guitar otherwise. I make that exception only for EBMM.

Anyone who knows about JPMMs will know with or without the sig. Plus, you could hardly read the forkin' thing.

No SIG......Basphemee!!!!!!!! I do see your point. Just bolt a big arse chain through the body connected to a leg iron. You'll be ok or the insurance thingy should work too.

Do you leave you axe laying around after the show? I mean, I always bring mine in the door, never lose sight of it on the stand between sets (plus I have about 15 peeps at my show who know me), and it goes home with me after the show.

Insurance, sure.....trust me, you may need it.....heheheehe.....
