Hi Guys!
At first, I'd like to shortly introduce myself since I'm new on the board.
I'm Alex and I play guitar for about 10 years.
I don't own a MM so far. But I'm on my way to change that ;)

So I'm planing to get me a JPX 7, but there's no shop close to me that sells this beauty. I only got the chance to test the BFR's.

I've heard a lot about the 5-way toggle getting in the way when shredding. Is it true?
For me this would be a total no-go. Even if it hinders you only a little bit. I want to shred with total comfort, without anything 'getting in the way'.
But look-wise (and sound-wise from what I've read) the JPX is totally my choice and I'd go for it rather than a BFR (which I love too of course).

Can some JPX owners enlighten me on this?

Doesn't bother me whatsoever, in fact I really like where it and the standard JP switches are. But that being said, I did have to acclimate myself to it.

The 5-way is one of the reasons I like the JPX so much. If you've used JP models before, it just takes a bit of getting used to.

Yes - there was an adjustment period for me - but I do not have an issue with the 5 way vs the 3. I prefer the 3 way, but playing the JPX is not a problem for me. YMMV
