Can anyone who bought the JPXI review the bridge for me please? I am very curious how it is different from the regular JP6/7 bridges and how well it stays in tune.

Thanks in advance!

All they did was make the baseplate a bit wider and move the pivot screw out furtheron the treble side so it doesn't hit the saddle on extreme dives. Other than that it's the same trem. I would imagine it really doesn't make much difference at all.

I don't think you'd be able to tell them apart. If they were swapped, the only way I'd be able to tell the difference is that the bar on my JPXI actually stays in place. I think it stays in tune just a little bit better than on the reg. BFR, I was quite surprised after re-stringing it.

Look closer. They're not swappable. The bridge cavity is carved differently on each model and the high-E side post was moved.

Also, it sounds like you didn't know you can adjust the tremolo arm. Go here to see how to adjust it to your liking:

I had wondered why the change, and what you said makes sense.

Since it is a change to improve performance, do you guys speculate that all JP's will eventually feature this bridge, or just the JPXI?

(I realize Mr. Petrucci and EBMM only know for sure, but just pondering :) )

lol, read closer- I didn't say I was swapping them or anything of the sort; I know they aren't the same size. I was commenting on how you can't notice a difference between the two when you play them and the only way I would be able to tell them apart at a glance if I had to for some reason is for the reason I mentioned above. The guy was asking how they were different- everyone already commented on the size difference, and I figured since I'm the only one right now with both that I would comment on the playability differences. I know how to adjust the trem; I have both of my guitars set up differently (not just the trem) for different reasons.
