Nice link....she was Dixie McCall on the 70's TV show Emergency. She had probably the biggest hit of the jazz standard "Cry Me a River" (Joe Cocker did a rock version). Another bit of trivia - her husband was Bobby Troup a jazz pianist/composer. He also acted in Emergency. You may have heard a song that he wrote titled Route 66.

Her album "This is Julie" with just her, bass, and Barney Kessel on guitar is an all-time fave of mine. It took me awhile to put together the fact that she was also the hot nurse in my favorite show growing up!

I remember watching her on that show but I never knew she was also a singer. How cool.
