It's 6105 SS fret wire that I had istalled on my Special.

My mate in Swansea did an incredible job.. doesn't even look like a refret !!

Hi Wolf

I am now having to travel back and for to Swansea once a week and would love to meet up with you. I'll send a PM and get in touch.

My mate a Luthier is interested in knowing the fret wire used.

Sir Spud,

I used 6105 on a couple of Warmoth builds I did a few years back and I found it to be really comfortable. Ultimately, it will come down to player preference though.

I bought 6105 stainless steel fret wire.

I'm so impressed with this guitar I don't play my others.. when you see them, you won't believe they stay in the house ! :D :D :D

Hi Pug - nice to hear from you.

It's just that my mate wants to source the same fretfire that comes on the EB Axis/Silo/AL = I may try contacting CS to see if the info is freely available.

Hey Spud,

In the years I've been here, I don't recall ever seeing anyone from EBMM confirm a fretwire size when the question is posed. They reference the sizes as, for example: high profile - medium width, etc. on the website, but not by specific manufacturer or wire #. May even make their own - they do do a lot of business extruding metal for guitars - I'm guessing they prefer to keep that proprietary. Don't know if they would get more specific if you inquire to CS privately, but they may. Good luck

Try Stewart McDonald Item# 0141 (medium/high) that should be the same size that we use on our guitars.
