Hi guys,
Just bought me a new amp yesterday, a Vox Valvetronix AD120VTX.
I'm no tube snob when it comes to amps, I just need something to get the job done and this is it. My Mesa Boogie DC5 was a great amp but you had to push it hard to get the best out of it and I used a bucket load of pedals with it too, it was just too loud and too fiddly to get my sounds.

The Vox is awesome, everything I want in an amp and I just can't stop playing.
I haven't even had to twaek it too much either as the sounds in it are just what I'm after, it goes great with the EBMM SS.
There's a patch called 'Sweet Child' and I guess it's obvious what it's supposed to be but this setting is just luschious for the neck pickup on the SS, fantastic blues tone, really smooth and smokey.
The 'Supernatural' patch which sounds nothing like his tone is perfect for that Steve Lukather, Neal Schon modern rock lead tone, I've been wailing away on this and it's really impressive.
There's some really great clean patches on there too, some with just a splash of reverb and others with a bit of chorus and delay, I could play all day with the Vox and SS. In fact I have ben so I'm having a break as my fingers are a bit sore.

Nothing more inspiring than a new guitar and amp that work well together and all I can say is if you've been avoiding these amps because they are digital, give them a go, you'll not be disappointed :D :D :D.
