just bought new guitar. NEED HELP

I just bought a new guitar and it needs all new strings, but i dont know which strings to get...This is where I need help?

What type do I get??

Hey there-

Two things to consider, basically the type of string (regular, reinforced, coated, etc.) and the gauge (how thick the strings are, so how easy they will be to play).

If you don't have a preference, the basic choice would probably be Super Slinkys (gauge 9-42), the pink package. I'd wager it's probably the most popular. (I love 'em.) The product page is here.

Yep! Super Slinky or Regular Slinky. Congratulations on your new guitar!

Regular Slinky's are a little thicker and should be better for more strumming, and the Super Slinky's are thinner and may be better for more bending and soloing.

I use Regular Slinky's.
