I just picked up my new Jp6 BFR last week and the thing is amazing. Theres just a few things that i'm not sure on what might be going on.. First off, it's not staying in tune very well and it just get worse when I use the trem bar. Then theres is a small buzz in the g-string. Before this one GC gave me a temp. one to hold onto for a few months and that one had non of these problem. I'm not sure if the guitar is doing this from the weather difference in Cali to New Hampshire or not.. Any tips on what I could dp to fix up these minor things would be great... I'll post pics later. :D

Pick the strings you want to use with it and go have it professionally set up if you aren't proficient at it yourself. It will play like a dream after that.

You might have to stretch the strings out a bit...The RPS slinkys that come on the BFR JP6 are really stretchy.

Then theres is a small buzz in the g-string.

Is the trem sitting parallel with the body? If not, you may need to adjust the spring tension until it is...There are some instructions at this link: How do I set up my John Petrucci guitar? | Music Man Guitars | F.A.Q.

I should mention that I've had this problem with both of my BFR JP7 guitars. Setting the guitar up properly fixed it on both.

One other quick thing that may have something to do with things.. I noticed that there wasn't as much vibrato action happening when I used the trem bar, it seems a bit restricted.. Any ideas?

I dunno...the Trem on both of my BFR JP7s is pretty good. You DO have to really give it a go to hear the changes in pitch in any dramatic way. It's really very subtle normally. I like this, though so it may just be preference...

If it really seems restricted and you think something's wrong with the guitar, call customer service. They'll be able to help you no matter what.
