I just got Beefy Slinky Coated Titaniums! I tuned them to drop C. They are thick strings so I popped the nut off the guitar and put in a new one so I could enlarge the nut slots to accept the thicker gauge. If I ever want to go back, I just pop the old nut back on.

I did this on a Dean Korina V I have so I can test out these beefy downtuned strings before changing the nut on my BFR LUKE. Didn't want to touch the BFR unless I liked the strings!

These strings are GREAT. The coating seems to make no difference on the sound, and I can't even tell it is there. They give a POWERFUL sound, and tuned to drop C, they are almost as easy to play as my .09's tuned to E flat.

I am getting a set to put on my BFR LUKE next!

Beefys are great strings - I'll be interested to know how the Titanium ones last compared to regular nickel - keep us posted.

What's the cost of Titanium Beefy strings compared to regular Beefy strings?
