Hi all ...

after 15 years of working my ass off, playing guitark, making CD's, my dream came true and music man gave me an endorsment deal...

we ordered the new luke radiance red piezzo in january...and still I could not believe it...

the guitare was home two days ago...now I realise.

I'm more than happy...more than proud...

here's a video ( quicktime )

Tristian,
I was curious what gauge string are on that Luke. The Piezo tone is pretty good but it sounds kind of like they don't have punch. Also wanted to ask you if you are influenced by Shawn Lane? I like your approach to pentatonic playing its very Shawn Lanish.

Hi brett...I use super slinkys (9 /42) ...but I think the compression on the piezzo sound " broke" a lot of the dynamic...I have to check that.

I was influenced by two guys : michel cusson ( uzeb )an incredible guy from montreal and by luke, of course...

lane was a genius...

Tristian,
I used to play 9-42 because it was easy to get a wide vibrato.People likened my vibrato technique to George Lynch and Zakk Wylde. Over the past ten years though I have been getting more and more drawn towards Jazz and Fusion players like Alan Holdsworth and Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson.I am using 10's because I like the feel of tighter strings. It allows me to pick faster play sweep arpeggios faster ect, ect. Plus the tone is alot beefier too. I am actually thinking of going up to 11's or 12's but I have to ask someone in here if that would be too much stress on the neck.

Great clips Tristan! (as always)

JEEZE TRISTAN!!!!

You are such a BAD A$S!!! :D
You make me want to buy a Luke!!!!

If anyone can do right on the Luke aside from Luke himself, it's you!!!
Your playing (like Luke's) is full of technique and emotion. Great job!

Wow you got an endorsment deal! :) Congrats! I'll send you a PM

BTW The blues is currently downloading so I'll review it later. Not that I think it's going to be anything but "WOW!" :D

EDIT

Darn, I'm missing some software to SEE the movie, but the sound is OK! Really nice playin'. I wish I could see it, though :(
