just got the Trace 715X

My 77 stingray sounds great through this amp. I just got the amp from GC here in good old New jersey. I never realized how much signal gain the bass puts out till I played around with the hi/lo input switch.. and watched the signal strength led's light up! The bass and amp seem to match up well. My next gig is in about two weeks. If any one wants an actual on- the- job performance report, let me know and I will post. Peace.

Musicman basses have a ton of output - try bringing the volume down on the bass to half or 3/4. For some reason the "hi" input usually sounds best to me (or could be my imagination) but I've never had a TE amp, and bringing down the volume on the bass will make that possible.

Heard good things about the new TE amps but haven't had a chance to try one myself. Tony Levin was a TE player back in the day...
