as a recent Bongo convert all I can say it will be well worth waiting for indeed! :) - was just listening to recordings from a rehearsal for a fill in I am doing on Saturday - silly mish-mash of tunes from Elvis's Burning Love to Alice in Chains The Rooster and the Bongo just needed a blend knob adjustment and a tiny volume followed by tinier EQ adjustments and was great in the mix tune to tune ...not to mention lightweight, comfy and ergonomic treat to play....

No, this is an old profile from an old member who hasn't been on here in a while. Sorry BP I had switched to another brand for awhile, but I learned my lesson and I'm coming home. My new Stealth Bongo will be here soon and I will be a Music Man guy for life!

There are just no other basses out there that sound and play like your basses (and I'm including basses that cost thousands more), and that's why I'm coming back!

and your welcome, but I owe you a thank you for making them!

At least I remember! Glad you are back

Thanks BP!!! Hey and you know what I even switched back to playing Slinkys (after trying out about 20 other brands of strings over the last couple years). The only negative thing there ever was about your strings IMO was they just didn't last as long as I wanted (with that fresh sound that I love). Well, with your new element shield packaging, even if the strings had been sitting at the store for over a year (which happens if you stop by a small store), they still sound fresh now!!! Thanks for coming up with this!! The worst thing in the world for me was opening a new set of strings with 3 bright ones and 1 dead one, UGH!!!
Well, I've been through quite a few sets in your new packaging and guess what? Not 1 dead string and I love it!!!

BTW I noticed your SS bass strings are still in the old packaging, hope you switch them to the new packaging as many bass players like myself like both nickel and SS strings, depending on the bass and the style of music you are playing.

Congrats! :)

Looking forward for some pics in about 3 months? ;)

This reminds me that I'm missing one Bongo in my collection? :p

Thanks!

I promise I will post pics when it gets here! I ordered it on June 7th and I was told it should be done by Sept. 7th, so I'm just gonna have to be patient. Or, better yet maybe BP could let me cut in front of all the other orders, so mine will be built sooner.
;)

Just kidding BP, but don't blame a guy for trying! :D
