Yup ...

I just woke up 5 minutes ago the first thing I did was call Doug (bassplyr) on his cell and placed my order for my HS Sterling. The timing was great 'cause he was at the EB booth :)

So my HS Sterling config is:
HS (obviouly cuz i said that 14 times now)
Medallion Gold
Maple
non-matching headstock (you guys know matching scares me)
White Perloid pickguard

Thanks to everyone that chimed in to help me pick a finish in my earlier thread.

This might be the best 1,000th post ever :) Do I get to use the "ban for life" button now?

Arin, youre a nice guy and I like you. However, since youve already ordered a 2 pup Sterling, Im jealous, so jealous that I have lots of bad names Id like to call you. jk. Congrats. I hope it was the pic of my old medallion gold Ray that pushed you over the edge. :D

That's most awesome phatduckk. I have some decisions to make as well, just not today. :( Do I go with a Sterling 4 or Stingray 5, do I do H, HP, HH, or HS? Do I try fretless? Arghh, so many options, but only one bass can I get. :D

At least I know it'll be natural/maple. :)

my decision was pretty easy ... i just had think think of color. i dont play a 5, i like my Sterling better than my Sr4 and the tone im my head isnt too "fat" so im thinking that the HS will suit me better than an HH.

Congratulations! You probably have the honor of making the first individual order.

that was totally my goal.

on a side note:
while on the phone with Doug, just after placing my order, I asked him to ask BP if he'd sign my current Sterling's headstock if I sanded the "Sterling" logo off. that would make open house way more awesome then its already gonna be

Let the countdown begin.

Congrats phatty!! I wish I could join in the ordering frenzy, but I have two things going against me: :(
1. My new trans red Sterling is still searing my pocketbook until it gets paid off
2. I don't think I could wait that long

Of course....I could come up with a great plan...like asking my friends and family.."Consider it my early birthday and Christmas present for the next five years..." :)

Think they'll buy it?? ;)

Congrats to Phattduck! First in line to have ordered a double pick up EB bass in the world!
AllI can say is, watch out to all of the other bass companys out there because EB has just
set a very high limit to jump over. THey may have infact just stepped up to rule the bass world!! The new basses rock!!!
