Just picked up this oldie from 1987 ..

it was a pretty fair price, just couldnt pass it up. I have a thing about these old basses, something about that worn in, beat up vibe, its from 87 with the trans. logo. weighs 9 lbs, will get it friday, just in time for sat gig.

That's very nice. It looks like my red one but it seems to have more of a burgundy tint unless it's just those pictures. Your neck has a nice subtle flame as well. Congratulations!

Nice one - you have a great collection of late 80s/early 90s Rays. I too have a thing about EBMM basses from this era.

What colour is the 87? The neck looks to be be quite figured - is it flamed maple?
