And they were VERY good.

Very tight, great sounds, and I wasn't expecting much out of Gillan but once he'd warmed up, he was damn good!

Great shots of Don Airey's belly too.

Steve Morse just played three guitars: a sunburst Y2D, his old blue Morse and a Floyded black Y2D. Sounded like himself on all guitars of course.

They played The Well Dressed Guitar which made me VERY happy. :D

No, I only have SLRs which are not allowed in venues :( I may need to get a compact camera with fast lens and big sensor but not something I'm ready to invest in now.

cool, sounds like it was a lot fun!!! By chance did you note the "set list"?? Particularly interested in the opening and closing tunes.

Last song was actually Black Night. They also played Hush in the encore which I truly was not expecting.
No Highway Star. They did play Perfect Strangers (also a surprise), and no Pictures of Home.

The one song I would LOVE to hear would be April. It'd be epic live. But given the singer and line-up at the time, that's wishful thinking of plutonic magnitude.

Perfect Strangers is not really a surprise. I can´t remeber that there was a show they didn´t play it.
Bot no Highway Star - this is a surprise.
I now have tickets for Augsburg on 29.11.12

Wonder if they might have a "live - in concert" cd coming out from this spin??
I don´t know but I can´t really imagine. I mean they have a new album coming out around february.
And to be honest - you can listen to any live recording or DVD since 2002. It didn´t change much.
plus there is a very busy bootlegging scene around DP if you wanna be up-to-date with the live stuff

That was a cool set...Into The Fire is a killer tune!

Must be hard for such a classic band, with so many hits, to put up a set that keeps them entertained and the audience surprised...
