Hey Guys...

just thought i'd share with you guys some happenings in my musical world...

It's been quite the year with a lot of new experiences

I was hired to play at NAMM this year
I joined a new Blues/Rock Band (Christian) and we have about 15 original songs prior to my joining the band and i've been working feaverishly on learning the songs and giving my take on the leads. We're sounding very much like Carlos Santana and the Allman Brothers with a bit of Bonamassa and Trower combined...
I'm trying to pull inspiration from those whom i really enjoy listening to while remaining "myself" behind the guitar.

All that being said tonight i'm going to start the lead guitar tracks on our debut album (yet to be titled) and i'm really excited. I put new cobalts on my 20th and my Strat and i'm ready to go... I'll keep everyone posted but thought i'd post and share.

thanks for the support guys...

the night went well and i got the leads and electric rhythm laid down for one song and everything went really smoothly. The track sounds really good and i used my 20th exclusively as the strat stayed in the case. The 20th was set up with Cobalts and just got the job done. It was incredible! Fun evening.

as soon as i get the rough mix i'll post it.

Awesome!! You playing anywhere soon in Calif - in or out of church??? I teach in-depth Biblical Studies, and I also have a few Christian rock tunes that I wrote as well. Mainly play heavy rock and just tweak/change the words here and there.

There's a lot of music in the churches here in Nor Cal, lots of good players too. PTL

I am playing at a Church in Fairoaks as part of the worship team a few times a month. It's a new Church for me as i transitioned from the church i grew up in to this one a few months back but got involved right away.
We've got a few things going on that are pretty consistant.
We play at a coffeeshop / bar in Roseville called The Extreme Java Jungle. Last Saturday we had about 100-150 people come out and we had a great time.
Prior to me joining the band they played the Convoy of Hope which helps bring Music, Food and Clothing to the homeless community in Northern California. We were invited back and i'm excited to participate this year as my Dad's twin brother is homeless and would like to share the music with him.
We were also invited with an offering of a "prime time" slot to participate in Spirit West Coast this year. I was really excited to get that news and it looks like were going to be playing there.
On Wednesday I was shown an application for the State Fair in which we're looking to participate in so a very busy summer for us. But a great time...
