So far so good. I'm just about to head to the office, and my driver has a route mapped out that will take us around the main hot spots. Given the history of violence around fuel price hikes in the past here, it's unknown whether things will get ugly or not this time around.
Arrived back home safe and sound. Things have been relatively peaceful today, mainly because the government has yet to announce the amount of the fuel price increase - only that the increase will be operative from tomorrow. May be another "middle of the night" announcement, so protesters don't have time to get organised. With Ramadan starting on Tuesday (the fasting month, where Muslims aren't supposed to get angry), the biggest chance for nasty riots are over the weekend or on Monday.
