ummmm..... you really want to change the knobs? how come?

I really liked how the prototype Y2D looked with the cream pickup covers and cream switch tip.
I figure by putting a set of cream knobs with a cream switch tip I might be able to get a similar look.
Seeing as the cream knobs and switch tip would match the cream binding on the Y2D. I'm hoping it will give me the look I'm after.
Anyhow, if it ends up not looking how I envisioned it in my head. I put the black knobs back on. No harm done.

All I need to know now is whether or not they will fit on the potentiometer shaft

If your Y2D is the same as mine they might fit the shaft but they won't stay put.

The pot shafts on my Y2Ds are solid/smooth (hence the knobs have a screw to keep them there) rather than the split/knurled shafts you find on Gibsons or Fenders.

CS would be able to give you a definitive answer.

I think your correct. If I remember back to my Fender/Gibson days you are correct. Oh well. It was worth a try.

hmmm.... i would say chrome knobs and cream switch/pickup covers.

I would say the same. Also, as Chris said, Strat knobs won't work because they're made for split-shaft pots and the Morse's (Standard & Y2D) pots are smooth-shaft. If you really like the look of the Y2D prototype, why not go with chrome dome knobs like on the actual prototype?

Whatever the choice, please match the diameter of the pot shaft and the aftermarket knobs internal diameter. The pot shafts on the Y2D are larger ones..

I bought two set-screw type chrome knobs for my Luke. Their inside diameter was too small to fit the pot shaft. I drilled-out the knobs slightly and they work fine now.
I am assuming the Luke potentiometer shafts are roughly the same diameter as the Y2D's, which is larger than my Silo's pot shafts are.
