Knobs for Sterling

I'd like to know what the size of the pot's shaft are on a Sterling because I'd like to get some black knobs for it.

vs.

Mine doesn't have the abalone guard.....yet. It will though, at the moment it only has a black one.

Standard Shaft size, Most Japanese Knobs won't fit, smaller shaft. Hope this helps.

I quite like the idea of abalone-topped silver knobs for my Sterling actually... think that could look pretty good!

I'd recommend shooting an email over to Customer Services - they normally reply to peeps pretty quick!

When is your abalone guard arriving?

Haven't ordered it yet, as I'm waiting for my paycheck. Soon though.

Pshycicpet (the awsome guy that he is) sent me some black knobs for me Sterling in like '05.

used 'em for awhile and my son told me that the chrome looked better.

i changed 'em back,and really liked the look again.

the black knobs now reside on my son's bass.

ya' think that he planned it that way?

I'm just changing the knob. It's appearance/aesthetics only, it's not like I'm changing out pickups or preamps or anything.

My Maraposa Shaft is 6mm they look very similar.
