I used to have one of those, it's a stunning finish!

Me, too. How weird is THAT?

Actually, I think I personally know this bass. It's a very good one. I might have originally purchased that one from P Davyduck's shop in Canada.

It's hard to remember.

Yes, you did.

That bass is a one-of-a-kind. The only Blue Dawn Bongo 5HSp ever made, or so I was told by reliable sources.

I thought seriously about buying it, then you did and I kicked myself. Still kicking myself.

Love the Blue Dawn!

I was going to write that if I were you, I'd sell the grey one in a heartbeat, but since you are you, you'll still have to decide yourself ... but you already did. (Am I making any sense?)

Either way, congratulations! :D

I will Oli. I have now decided that this is the best sounding bass I have ever owned or played, sound samples will be up shortly!

Hey, this is awesome:)

Ok, for the record, here is the complete travels of the Blue Dawn Bongo 5 HSp so far.

Jack (Bovinehost) buys it from Pete Davyducks store in Canada, after checking with BP that the shop does not break any rules by selling this particular bass to Jack in the US. It is verified to be the only 2007 LE Bongo 5 HSp in existence.

Jack and I then swap basses, he gets a Bongo 5 HS Dargie (another rare one, 3 made) and I get the Blue Dawn.

I realize that while the Blue Dawn is truly beautiful, it is not my fave Bongo because of the pick up config and the knob farm feeling I get on stage.

Feeling Neil (Greydad) needs to play a proper fiver I offer to lend him the Blue Dawn, he accepts and plays it for a while.

Then I figure Azzy needs to play it too, so she (and her worse half Trev) plays it for a while.

And then, since for some reason I can't remember I kind of know Zak (Duarte) is interested in the Blue Dawn we work it out so that he gets it.

So yeah, the Blue Dawn has been around quite a bit, but really only been bought once adn traded once!
So it's not like it's a proper slut-bass, oh no, nothing like Heinz or almost every other bass i own;)

I had the impression that it had been around a bit more than that. Still, impressive amount of travelling for a bass! Here endeth the journey - I think it may have found it's true home...that is unless you want it back Magnus?

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad to know the bass arrived safely! OMG. I'm wary trusting Parcelforce with anything, but they seem to have done well this time!

Zak - you can ignore my PM now :)

Thanks again to Strummer for the loan - we adored having it to play with - with great fun trying to get to grips with a fiver and having some proper time with a Bongo. Not that I don't love my Sterling, but the Bongo just has extra balls!

As for slut bass and my worst half... no disagrees there :) Not from me anyway!
