Attentions Germans and Wannabe Germans (Thats myself ),

Cellkirk74 had a great idea... Lets all bring our favorite basses to Wiesbaden (near Frankfurt) and get together for an afternoon of jamming, Fachsimpeln and good times. Cellkirk74 is being kind enough to let us use his "Proberaum" which is in the Schlachthof Wiesbaden. :Schlachthof Wiesbaden

They have a Bar (Kneipe) directly in the place so the creature comforts are taken care of (Für Leib und Wohl ist gesorgt)


We are looking at Sunday 5.09, Saturday 9.10 oder Sunday 10.10.

Well, I am in for it, preferably on a sunday afternoon.

We thought it would be a nice idea to get to meet each other in person, have a drink and make a little noise.
Amps and cabs are there.

Yea, Stockholm -> Frankfurt is brutal. I can help et you a place to stay set up if you decide to come.

I'd also like to show up. Altough the 2 dates in october is the first holiday weekend (Herbst Ferien). You know what that means... could be a problem to get down to Wiesbaden via A3/A61.

Good to see it gets a little crowded in here!

I think I should tell something about the place, so we can decide whether or not to meet there or somewhere else.

The Schlachthof really is a rock'n'roll kind of place with a lot of independent shows going on there. There are two venues for shows and about 20 practice places for band in the building along with the bar downstairs.

There are always some kids outside, riding their skateboards and when the weather is fine the "Biergarten"is going to be well frequented for the whole day.

Since I play with two different band, we have our share on two praticerooms, of which one, that we will not use, is a real punkrock place, while the other room is decent and full of equipment from us and the Ska band of our singer.

That is where we can make some noise. I can set up 3 or 4 amps with cabs. Here are some pics of the room. It is not very big, but without any noise limitation. Here are some pics. I do have more somewhere, but they give a little impression

Someone please remind me o clean up the practice room in time...

well, if we carry the wheelchair up the stairs, yes. But there is no elevator and it is in the first floor.
