Kooky question about the pickups.

Hey guys and dolls.

I am looking at getting a lefty Silhouette Special with tremolo with rosewood fretboard and three single coils. When I attempt to "build my own instrument" via the online builder, the picture automatically defaults to black pickup covers and black knobs.

Is it possible to specify white pickup covers and white knobs? I think the white creates such a better contrast on the tortoise shell with a vintage sunburst body color. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Essentially this guitar:

SS SSS LH w/trem
Vintage Sunburst
Tortoise Shell p/g
White knobs

I don't know if that's asking too much, and figured I'd check it out here first!

Well the dark pickguards like Black, tortoise, black pearloid, etc. come with black pup covers and black knobs. But you can always order or buy some white or cream pup covers and knobs no problem.

I don't think you can specify the color or knobs and pickup covers. The color will depend on which pickguard you choose.

i used to be able to get it to do white pickguards, but now it defaults to black as you found out.

hopefully the new instrument builder happens soon!
