I just recently began playing Krank amps. I have the Revolution Series One Head and the Revolution 4x12 Cab (both with black tolex and chrome grill). This thing sounds amazing. Anybody heard of them, played them, or have one?

check it out: www.krankamps.com

I just bought the new Arch Enemy album they recorded using Kranks (Doomsday Machine). I liked their new sound much better compared to when used 5150's. I wish they had a 50 watt version of Revolution though...

I've played many for long periods of time.
They just don't do it for me. Very buzzy and sterile...Kinda remind me of a XXX and Randall mixed.
No depth to the sound, and the clean is bad to my ears.
If they sold for $350-$400 it would be worth it.
Just not a good amp IMHO.
But if you like it, play it. It's all personal taste

+1

BUT! I have a friend who's an insanely obsessed Shadows Fall fan, so I got to play his Washburn "Face Eraser" with EMG's through his krank halfstack, and for really heavy stuff it was a good combination. however when I played my axis SS (with an L-500 in the bridge) through the krank, it just fell appart (sonically, I mean... :) ) It sounded like playing a kazoo through a harmonica mic that was being run through a new, stock ProCo RAT II... arf. :D

I actually liked Shadows Fall sound better before they switched from Marshalls to Kranks. Now they sound really generic, IMHO.
