Hey guys!

After getting JP11 with SS frets (just an awesome bending feel lol), im thinking about refreting my L3 (that needs refret anyway) with SS frets... Can someone pls tell me the fret size for L3? I was thinking about putting larger frets on it, because thats probably the only thing thats not perfect for me on L3... :)

Did someone put SS frets on L3 and whats ur experience?

Tnx!

says low and wide on the EBMM website which would probably equate to medium jumbo or dunlop 6130 size.
6150 would probably be the next size up , standard jumbo.
i'll probably go for SS jumbo frets when i have to refret my LIII . its had one fret level so far. dunno if i'll get another out of it.

I refretted my Luke 3 with ss medium jumbo. It is taller than the stock frets, and the guitar got even easier to play !

I I just got a refret on my Luke II. I went with the Jescar stainless steel and I believe it was the 57110 fretwire. It falls in the jumbo, maybe medium jumbo range. Unbelievable the difference it made. Loved it so much I had the same thing installed on my JP that was in need of a refret. They are both playing better than ever. Well worth it.

I have to agree with u, its a BIG difference in playability... 2 bad SS frets dont come as standard or at least an option on all MM guitars... Im never going back on nickel silver... :)

Agreed! Only thing I wish was different about my L3 is that it doesn't have SS frets.

Well, Luminlay inlays would be nice too.

My PDN Neptune Blue L3s both have SS frets that are higher than the standard L3 frets - they play perfect for me, fast yet very slik feeling and nice to bend and vibrato.

I have medium jumbos on my 3 other brand guitars and they are taller than my Luke II's frets.
If and when it needs new frets, they will be MJ SS for sure.

I’m also looking for better fretwire than the standard fretwire, because this is to low for me.
Can’t make up my mind between the different sizes these days....
