Question L3 string gauges

I'm curious what gauge strings others are using on their L3s. I know it's set up with 9-42s which felt very good. I recently changed the bass strings to 22, 30 & 40. It seemed to make it easier to sweep pick, especially when descending and crossing strings. Of course I now have to adjust the truss rod and tremolo. Now it's almost it too easy to play, lol. Has anyone experimented with other gauges?

I settled down to 9-42 of many reasons, of one is that it's easier to get a package of those than to find custom string sets. Everyone has their preference with string sizes, anyway.

I use hybrid slinky sets. Been using those for 29 years and counting (sheesh I'm getting old). They were the first set of strings I ever bought in my life and have loved them since day 1.

Other guitars I use either 9's or 10's but generally I prefer the hybrids.

I generally use Hybrid Slinky sets on all of my guitars... The Silo Spec is the only one I don't. I would say throw the hybrids on there and enjoy.

I use D-addario 9-42's on my LIII. Seems to play great and hold a great tune with them.

I have been using the D'addario NYXL units on all of my guitars as of recent. I went with the 9-46 guage. I had the cobalts previously but was experience breaking issues with the 4th and second strings on a couple of guitars. Also, they felt gritty. These new strings feel amazing. I am going to try out those newer M-steel units eventually as well.

I found the standard 9-42s to be a little too light for me, now I'm usind D'Addario 95-44 which I think are perfect.

I tried also 10-46 , but love the 9-46 on my Luke and JP6 also
