Lace Sensor Question

I'm going to install a set of Hot Gold Lace Sensors in my Silo Special SSS. I obviously won't really need the silent circuit anymore. Should I disconnect it or just leave it intact?

Lace Sensors are already hum canceling so I don't know why you'd need the silent circuit.

Yes, I am quite aware of that. However, what would happen if I left the circuit active? Would it cause problems with the Lace Sensors? I'm nervous to do anything drastic to the stock electronics. This has the piezo as well and I don't want to dick anything up.

Your original post made it sound like you were replacing all of the pickups. Sorry I misunderstood you. I'm not an expert on this. I'd say try it both ways and do what sounds best to you.

Sorry, by other pickups I meant the Lace Sensors.

W/o a battery, it's out of the circuit. But if you're re-wiring for new p'ups there's no point in wiring them to the SC (the more times you solder, the more something can get overheated). Just wire all the grounds to ground.

I'd just take it out, keep it handy in case you ever want to go back. Or put it in another axe.

I did this on a SSS silo special i had last year, i thought the tone was ok, but eventually put the stock pups back in.
